MedVision Showcased Simulators at Africa Health 2025 in Cape Town
We are thrilled to announce our participation in Africa Health, the premier international exhibition for the region, held from September 2nd to 4th, 2025, at Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) in Cape Town, South Africa. The event brought together leading healthcare professionals, medical equipment manufacturers, and academic representatives from across the globe.
Our company is proud to announce its participation, where we will be showcasing our cutting-edge medical simulators designed to enhance healthcare training and patient safety.
Inside our booth, we highlighted:
- Leonardo HF: An advanced adult patient simulator, engineered with a wide array of features for perfecting resuscitation protocols, diagnostics, and intensive care. Offering exceptional anatomical realism and the flexibility to model challenging clinical cases, Leonardo becomes an invaluable tool for training medical professionals across various specialties. This rich functional environment, along with the option to use real medical equipment, ensures participants can achieve full immersion in their training, significantly enhancing their individual and team skills in critical emergency situations.
- Lisa ALS: A patient simulator for advanced life support excellence. It allows students and healthcare professionals to thoroughly practice CPR, intubation, airway management, and ACLS protocols, cultivating confident action in high-pressure, time-critical situations. Featuring anatomically precise sites for venipuncture, intramuscular, and intraosseous access, Lisa also supports comprehensive training in medication administration. Realistic skin and true-to-life anatomical landmarks deliver an authentic learning environment.
- Mia: An advanced newborn patient simulator, developed to elevate the expertise of professionals in neonatal and pediatric care. Mia offers comprehensive training in life-saving procedures, including newborn resuscitation, intubation, mask ventilation, and other vital interventions critical in a child's earliest moments. Its accurate physiological reactions and customizable parameters allow students and physicians to refine their expertise in highly realistic clinical situations.
- SonoVision: An ultrasound diagnostic simulator offering the highest level of internal organ detail. The system enables users to perform both routine and specialized scans, developing critical practical competencies in a completely patient-safe environment. The integration of an authentic ultrasound transducer provides unparalleled accuracy and a true-to-life feel, preparing practitioners for real-world patient care.
Our advanced simulation equipment captured significant attention from key stakeholders: representatives from Cape Town and Johannesburg universities/colleges, and clinical staff from emergency services and hospitals. They experienced our simulators firsthand, executing vital medical procedures directly at our booth, such as:
- Pneumothorax decompression;
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and intubation;
- Practicing Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) protocols;
- Hemorrhage control and trauma management in emergency scenarios.
Attendees at our booth highlighted that our company's simulators are an effective tool for training professionals across diverse specialties, thanks to their ability to facilitate practice with complex resuscitation scenarios.
Following the exhibition, our equipment has been entrusted to our South African distributors for immediate demonstrations and pilot projects within leading universities and healthcare institutions. This marks a crucial step in expanding our collaboration and accelerating the adoption of modern medical education technologies throughout the region.
